Sr. Embedded Linux Software Engineer – Architect (090160709)

The candidate will design, implement and maintain platform software for Actiontec Home Networking products.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in design and development of software for embedded linux platform for consumer / In home networking products
• In depth knowledge and understanding of overall system design (SOC)
• Excellent networking architectural skills coupled with good implementation techniques
• Hands on experience with embedded software development for networking product
• Networking experience at all layers of IP networking
• Strong debugging techniques essential
• Is the go to individual for the design and development teams on difficult system issues
• Experienced on Linux kernel/application debugging.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and object-oriented design
• Highly preferred experience including device driver development for Linux OS
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Results oriented, self starter essential
• Ability to discuss with peers implementation trades off a plus
• Ability to collaborate with PM/Sales and communicate effectively with functional groups a plus

Education:

MS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, PhD. degree is a plus.
