Strategic Alliance Manager (140110325)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science or other related technology field

  • 5+ years of experience as system/applications engineering or similar with minimum 2 years of direct customer facing role

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the company

  • Highly motivated, goal oriented

  • Experience working directly with Microsoft, Intel and PC OEMs

  • Strong technical background with ability to develop and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to bridge the gap between sales/marketing and engineering organizations

  • Experience in wireless display technologies including Wi-Fi Direct, Miracast, and Intl WiDi

  • Experience and working knowledge of wireless LAN technologies and protocols including 802.11a/b/g/n, 802.11ac and related technologies

  • Experience in Educational, Healthcare and Public Sector market segments preferred

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to travel locally and international as needed


As part of the Actiontec team, the Strategic Alliance Manager plays a key role in engaging and supporting key partners and customers worldwide.  The Strategic Alliance team is part of the global sales and marketing organization and drives key partnerships and business opportunities for our wireless display products.  The Strategic Alliance Manager/FAE role is a key touch point providing both pre and post-sales support to strategic partners, including Microsoft, Intel, NVidia and AMD as well as key OEM customers like HP, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo and others along with supporting the activities of our senior sales organization.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Build/engage new partners/contracts and drive new opportunities within vertical and retail markets

    • Manage all aspects of partner engagement in and across vertical/retail channels

    • Provide product/technical training to partners and support sales in training customers, distributors and resellers on Actiontec products

    • Work with partners to identify marketing/co-marketing opportunities, tradeshow/roadshow activities and build Actiontec champions inside partner organizations

    • Work with strategic partners to identify new sales opportunities, key partner sales contracts and coordinate with sales to transition, track and close sales engagements

    • Act as primary interface and manager partner/customer communications and support issues, including….

  • Track all actions items, key dates, and competitive threats

  • Review partner/customer requirements and coordinate with product management, marketing and engineering

  • Support engineering team in the collective effort of device and system level testing as needed.

  • Act as key technical interface and support to partner/customer and work with engineering to resolve technical issues

  • Prepare demonstrations for and participate in trade-shows and customer visits

  • Work closely with Marketing and Design to define next generation products and tools

  • Develop technical collateral material including: application notes, release notes, white papers and other technical documents.

  • Work with Marketing to develop marketing collateral including: PowerPoint presentations, brochures, flyers and other marketing related documents
