NOTE: Actiontec Electronics will not provide a refund or replacement, for products that have failed due to the loading of incorrect firmware or the testing of custom firmware.

The firmware update program runs on Windows 3.1 and 95, but will not operate in other OS environments. This update is only for the FM560RK/MD56020 modem. Do not use this upgrade on the FM560RK/MD56022 non-cellular modem. The downloads includes a 'Readme.txt' with firmware loading instructions and diagnostics.

How can I determine if my PC card modem has cellular capabilities?

Where can I get a replacement or spare modem cables?

How can I determine if my PC card modem has cellular capabilities?
We have non-cellular and cellular compatible PC card modems. You can identify the modems that are cellular compatible by looking at the ports. The cellular modem has two ports, a 4-pin land-line (telephone) port and a 15-pin cellular connector (port). The non-cellular modems have only the 4-pin land-line (telephone) port. The modems that have cellular compatibility are the (28.8K) FM288B, (33.6K) FM336C, (56K) FM560RK and FM560LKI. The DataLink FM560RK 56K modem and the DataLink v.90 International modem are both cellular compatible, but quite different. When fully updated, both are compatible with the v.90 standard. But the FM560LKI is International, and therefore has additional software that allows it to function in many countries other than the United States.
