Note
The PM560LKC uses a Lucent chipset and does CallWaiting; it is compatible with Class 1 and Class 2 FAXes, as well as the 56K and v.90 protocol. It is what is known as a "Hardware modem" meaning that there is a CPU on the modem itself, making it not dependent on the Windows Operating System, so this modem will work on Linux.
The PM560LKC can use its CallWaiting function to place a call on hold temporarily, however CallWaiting is not compatible with Windows XP.
