These units are a simple pass-through device intended for the extension of an existing network. The Data Sheet for the ECB2200 states that there is "Password Protection for Access Control". However, this functionality is not available to the end user. It can only be accessed by opening the case and connecting through the console port; and so was not designed or intended for use by the general public, but rather it is accessible, only by the manufacturer.
