Amazon’s Essential Phone – A Cyber Monday Steal

FierceWireless reports that this past Cyber Monday, Amazon dropped the price of their Essential Phone to $399 to help boost sales. This sale price included a modular 360-degree camera attachments.

According to the Verge, eyebrows raised last month when the price of this phone was cut to $400; now another $100 has been slashed from the cost of Amazon’s only mobile device offering.

The phone has gained notoriety due to Andy Rubin’s tech-guru status, but it has been slow to gain momentum and reach expected sales goals.

Currently, Sprint has an exclusive deal and is the only carrier to offer the Essential, which includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 128MB of memory and constructed of titanium and ceramic.

Unfortunately, the unveiling comes at a very competitive time in the mobile device market with the new iPhone X and Samsung offerings just released. Time will tell whether or not this sleek, powerful phone becomes a front-runner.
