Dish Network’s Portable Streaming Device
In an effort to stay competitive in the age of cord-cutting streaming devices that allow TV consumers to cancel their cable or dish services, Dish Network is offering its own streaming network device. The brand-new device is called an AirTV and allows users to stream TV channels on the go. The device is portable so you can take it with you and never miss an episode.
The AirTV is selling for roughly $20 plus shipping with a 30-day money back guarantee. Another plus for Sling TV users, the device is integrated with Sling’s service allowing it to operate inside and outside of the home seamlessly.
So far Dish has only soft-launched the product to a handful of consumers but expects to roll out a full release later in 2018 after CES.
Also expected later this year are mobile apps for the device along with support for Roku, Amazon Fire, and select TVs.
