A recently industry study found that a fiber connection may boost home values by as much as $5,000, compared to homes without. Meanwhile, the report found that condo buyers on average paid a 2% premium for an FTTH (Fiber to the Home) connection, while renters were willing to commit an extra 15% for the privilege of fiber. The study also indicated that, with its faster loading times, FTTH saves its Internet customers an average of 49 hours a year. As a whole, fiber subscribers are reportedly very satisfied with their Internet connections and resultantly much less likely to move from their current residences.
