To slow the cord-cutting trend, Verizon is offering a promotion where new FiOS triple play bundle customers get a free year of Netflix. They’re calling it “time to fiber-optics your Netflix.”  Subscribers get the deal by signing up for bundles of $80/per month or more, which include a 2-year price guarantee with a 2-year agreement.

The promo is available to those who sign up for a Verizon TV bundle including their Multi-Room DVR Enhanced or Premium Service. Customers will be able to watch Netflix directly through the Verizon FiOS set-top box with a Netflix subscription and FIOS Internet service.  If they already have a Netflix subscription, Verizon will cover the costs (up to $10.99 per month for 12 months).

The Multi-Room DVR Enhanced or Premium service allows users to record multiple shows at the same time and watch from numerous locations in their home, whenever they want.  Existing FiOS Internet/TV customers who have this service can begin watching Netflix anytime. They can simply go to channel 838 to launch Netflix, sign in using their existing Netflix credentials, and begin streaming movies.
