Russian Hacker Alert
Russian hackers are a growing problem for the web and IT industries in recent years. Now it appears that they are taking it up a notch. Backed by the Russian government, hackers are attacking civilian and small business routers. Devices using default passwords and unsecured networks are the most vulnerable.
Working together, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) warned the public this week about this very tangible, perilous threat.
The joint task force is urging device vendors, ISPs, and small business owners to read the report and take steps to lock mitigate the issue.
