Google Earth Says “Yes” to Measuring Distances and Areas
Whether your measurements have a purpose or not, you can now measure away in distances and areas in Google Earth.
The new update in Google’s in-browser virtual application allows people the ability to measure distances in a straight line and also to measure the area of any location.
This update had been one of Google’s users’ most requested features for the app. Finally, Google Earth said “yes.” The features are now available on Chrome and Android and are “coming soon” to iOS.
Google suggested using the features to check the size of a park in your neighborhood or for teachers to create interactive math problems for their students. It’s a fun way for Google to get more user interaction in this application.
What will you use it for?
