85% of U.S. Millennials Subscribe to OTT Video Services
A recent study by Parks Associates shows that 85% of Millennials in the U.S. subscribe to at least one OTT video service. Another 25% of them subscribe to three or more.
This saturated market is a challenge for OTT services when it comes to retaining existing subscribers.
Brett Sappington, senior director of research at Parks Associates, says that the Millennials subscription penetration has topped out. He also questioned of how many of these subscriptions Millennials will keep.
Parks Associates predicts that 265 million households worldwide will pass 400 million OTT video services subscriptions by 2022.
