Energy programs resonate strongly with homeowners with high energy bills. New research from Parks Associates shows that 29% of US broadband households are very familiar with at least one energy program, with 21% being very familiar with energy efficiency rebates and incentives. Incentives, when combined with energy efficient values, motivate consumers and challenge energy providers.

Parks Associates’ report looks at the incentives used to target buyers who are more likely to purchase energy-efficient products.

Additional findings include:

  • In an effort to reduce energy consumption, 5% of consumers have taken “extreme measures.”
  • Of the 56% of US broadband households that believe having an energy efficient home, 16% believe that their personal habits are very energy efficient.
