Over a Quarter of US Broadband Homes Have a Smart Speaker with Voice Assist

As of Q1 2019, 36% of US broadband households own at least one smart speaker that features a voice assistant, according to Parks Associates. Smart speakers with voice assist act as a smart home hub as more households are adopting these speakers as a way to control at least one other smart home device.

Voice assistance, such as Amazon Echo, is an industry driver for service and security providers.
