Actiontec Receives Multiple Awards from TMC’s Communications Solutions
Three’s the Magic Number – Actiontec M1000 Modular DSL Router, MegaPlug AV Ethernet Adapter, and Wireless Broadband Router all win 2007 Product of the Year Award from Communications Solutions
Sunnyvale, Calif., June 23, 2008 – Actiontec Electronics today announced that three of its products have received a 2007 Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation's (TMC) Communications Solutions. No company won more honors in this year's awards.
Actiontec's award winners were:
• M1000 Modular Router: The first of its kind, the M1000 reduces costs for DSL service providers by giving them a single solution to meet the needs of all their customers. Providers can supply customers with the same low-cost base unit and then add user-requested upgrades with simple snap-in modules such as wireless networking, 4-port Ethernet switch for wired networking, a HomePlug AV adapter for powerline networking, and a VoIP adapter.
• MegaPlug AV Ethernet Adapter: Based on the next-generation powerline HomePlug technology, MegaPlug Adapters use a home's existing electrical wiring to give residential consumers blazing fast home networking speeds (up to 200 Mbps) to fuel bandwidth intensive applications like online gaming, Video on Demand, and HDTV.
• Wireless Broadband Router: A triple play powerhouse capable of delivering high throughput multimedia services for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) scenarios, the router offers both Ethernet and MoCA WAN support and provides a built-in 4 port Ethernet switch, Wireless G router, and other LAN networking options for MoCA and HPNA3.
"It is a true honor to receive three awards from Communications Solutions," said Brian Henrichs, VP Business Development at Actiontec Electronics. "This recognition affirms our leadership position in driving the next-generation digital home and enabling broadband service providers to deliver a whole new class of communication and entertainment experiences."
