Exciting news for Hawaiians: Charter Communications just announced that it’s starting the first Gigabit broadband service in Oahu. Subscribers will pay $105/month to enjoy 1 Gbps download and 35 Mbps upload speeds.

Users will enjoy full gigabit speeds without any limitations for at least seven years under Charter’s current plan.

Charter CEO Tom Rutledge recently touted the accolades of their fiber-rich network and ability to offer outstanding speeds and service, saying: “As technology continues to evolve, the products and services of tomorrow will increasingly rely on faster broadband connections. Charter’s world-class network is best-positioned to deliver the bandwidth and capacity needed to meet these growing demands.”
