Try Out Gmail’s New Smart Compose Feature
Google is testing out a new feature on the web platform for Gmail called Smart Compose.
Using AI technology that is learning how people write, the new autocomplete feature supposedly completes sentences automatically for you.
Still Needs Work
The demo at Google’s I/O conference recently made the new feature look promising. The actual product may need a bit more development. It may also be helpful in shooting off speedier emails, which comes in handy on those busier days.
If you want to try using it, go to your Gmail settings and enable “Experimental Access,” to turn on the feature. You can then test for yourself how well it predicts your patterns of writing and correct conveyances.
