Nearly 2/3 of U.S. Broadband Households Have Security and Privacy Concerns When Using Their Connected Devices

According to a white paper recently released by Parks Associates, Residential Security and Encryption: Setting the Standard, Protecting Consumers, 64% of U.S. broadband households are concerned about security and privacy when using their connected devices.

Parks Associates also found that a majority of U.S. home security system owners believe their industry addresses cyber security threats; they believe that their wireless signals are encrypted although this is not standard practice.

The white paper details the following:
